Worauf hast Du gewartet?"

Here's a little story that makes you think:

A man was thrown into the open sea.

Rescuers in a boat come by and want to safe him.

"No thanks," he replies, "God will save me."

After a while, another boat passes by and the helpers call out, "Get in!"

"No, thank you, God will save me." is the answer.

Finally comes a helicopter. The crew sees him in the spotlight, he can barely stay afloat.

"Take the rope ladder," shouts one of the men.

"No, thank you, God will save me." are the last words of the man, because a short time later he drowns.

In heaven he complains to God:

"I believed in you faithfully all my life, why didn't you save me?"

God looks at him in surprise, "I sent you two boats and a helicopter, what were you waiting for?"
